| I was a member here years ago. Mostly 2004-2007ish. It's been so long I had to make a new account because I forgot my old one and the email address associated with it. I also forgot how to properly search this forum since its so unique. So please bare with me! I know the blue smoke of turbo death has been covered here extensively but I just want to be absolutely sure that's what I need to replace. A few years ago my car began spewing blue smoke under boost. The car is a 1991 twin turbo 5spd with only 55k miles. Well maintained. Did the 60K service when I bought the car in 2005ish with 48K miles on it. It's modded of course but running stock turbos. I did switch over to synthetic oil when I got the car and I've heard that it can eat the seals. So my question is, besides the turbo oil seals can anything else cause the blue smoke? What should I be looking for and diagnosing? And I literally had a dream I was in a turbo Z last night and made me put my foot down to finally get her back on the road!
